Day 01

  • Wilpattu sanctuary was declared as a National Park in 1938, Wilpattu National Park is located on the west coast close to the historical city of Anuradhapura .The dry zone jungle is thickly grown. Wilpattu National Park is home to many villus, or natural lakes which dot the landscape in the Wilpattu National Park. Except for two, These lakes contain rainwater, thus are important for resident and migratory water-birds.The history of the park is also of interest with ancient ruins having been discovered in Wilpattu National Park. Queen named “Kuweni” (considered to be the mother of the Sinhala race) is said to have lived in the place known as Kalli Villu. Historical evidence also shows the fact that Prince Saliya, son of King Dutugemunu lived in Wilpattu over 2,000 years ago.

Day 02

  • Trincomalee is a port city on the northeast coast of Sri Lanka. Set on a peninsula, Fort Frederick was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century. Within its grounds, the grand Koneswaram Temple stands on Swami Rock cliff, a popular vantage point for blue-whale watching. The holy complex contains ornate shrines and a massive statue of Shiva. Nearby Gokanna Temple has panoramic views of the city and the coastline.

Day 03

  • Jaffna is a city on the northern tip of Sri Lanka. Nallur Kandaswamy is a huge Hindu temple with golden arches and an ornate gopuram tower. By the coast, star-shaped Jaffna Fort was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century and later occupied by the Dutch and British. Jaffna Public Library is a symbol of the city’s post-war regeneration. Jaffna Archaeological Museum has Dutch cannons and pre-colonial artifacts.

Day 04

  • Visit Anuradhapura cultural site now a UNESCO world heritage site and one of South Asia’s most evocative sights and the center of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries. Visit Mihinthale the traditional spot where the meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka took place. Day 05

  • Leave to Sigiriya from Negombo. En route visit  Pineapple & Rubber plantation, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage a place providing care and sanctuary to orphaned baby elephants that were found in wild. Climb the famous rock fortress of Sigiriya which is an astonishing feat of engineering and construction. The “ Lion stairway “, the Mirror Wall and the water gardens are the other highlights of Sigiriya. A night out in Sigiriya

Day 06

  • Dolphin watching tours are done early mornings. Spinner Dolphins are the most common with Bottlenose, Risso and Indo-Pacific. Humpback Dolphins are seeing regularly. dolphin watching Kalpitiya. November to December and March to April showcases the whales. Sperm Whales are the most common.
